From the people who greet you, to the laid back setting of the Central Coast, an un-crowded, un-hurried and un-pretentious wine tasting getaway awaits.

Midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, you’ll find Pismo Beach and San Luis Obispo or SLO (that’s what we locals call it); our wine region is comprised of three pristine viticulture areas: the Edna Valley, Arroyo Grande Valley and Avila Valley. This local darling is smallest in size but certainly not in strength or character.

Wine tours in this region feature small, mostly family-owned wineries who are well known for their hand-crafter bottlings of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, Grenache, Viognier, Zinfandel and more. This fast growing wine region has earned worldwide, recognition and respect for the exceptional quality of wine grapes produced in this ideal viticulture area.

The marine influence of the nearby Pacific Ocean provides a mild summers and warm fall, resulting in a unusually long growing season. Combined with the region’s rocky volcanic solids, these growing conditions produce fruit with intense varietal character and complex flavors that are typically found in the world’s greatest wine regions.

Roll Out The Barrells Weekend
First Weekend in May

Four days filled with the best wines of San Luis Obispo. The weekend kicks off with Barrels in the Plaza, in conjunction with the local farmer’s market. This evening event features a unique culinary experience, “grown here, made here” celebrating all that is grown and made in SLO. Friday night, enjoy dinner with the winemakers of various member wineries throughout South San Luis Obispo County.

Harvest Celebration Weekend
First Weekend in November

Friday evening you’ll enjoy an array of winemaker dinners throughout South SLO County. On Saturday afternoon in beautiful Avila Beach is the Grand Tasting and Auction. This event features 50 local wineries and restaurants, live music, a live and silent auction and a grand prize raffle. Complete the weekend on Sunday, with a visit to the wineries for their annual open house events, where you will enjoy more of their wines and great discounts too. Why not make a long weekend of it and join us for a wine tour of the open houses on Sunday!
