Peachy Canyon

Winery of the Week: Peachy Canyon

Peachy CanyonPaso Robles, Highway 46 West

Peachy Canyon winery is headed by founding vintners Doug and Nancy Beckett and their two sons. The Beckett family has created quite a robust following over the past 25 years, with distribution in 49 states and select international markets.

Considered one of Paso Robles’ most celebrated wineries, Peachy Canyon practices traditional, artisanal winemaking methods. Grapes are harvested and sorted by hand, and vineyards are pruned and maintained by hand as well. It is a labor-intensive process that results in high quality-control, leading to outstanding wines. Peachy Canyon has recently been awarded 90+ point scores for 6 of their 2011 Zinfandel wines, many by multiple critics.

Peachy Canyon Tasting Room

The Peachy Canyon tasting room and gift shop is located in Old Bethel School House (circa 1886) in the heart of Paso Robles’ wine country on Highway 46 West at 1480 N. Bethel Road in Templeton. Open 7 days a week, 10:00am to 5:00pm, except major holidays. Although their award-wining Zinfandels dominate the Peachy Canyon tasting menu, you will also find handcrafted small batch Rhone & Bordeaux varietals available to sample.
